Do any of your Councils use or would consider using Facebook to promote awareness and take up of benefits?
I’ve heard of this being done but not sure of the limitations or legality of it.

I think we’re on Twitter but the whole social networking thing leaves me cold so it certainly wouldn’t occur to me! You could be on to something though

Hi,

I manage a fraud team and use social networks quite extensively. You’d be suprised at what information people voluntarily put on them.
We don’t use them to promote benefit take up etc…..
I had quite a battle to be allowed to use it but overcame this by having a robust Social Networking Policy.
I’m quite interested though in anyone else’s experiences though with using them for take up, and promoting declarations of COCS etc….

We are considering using Facebook and other sites but I guess it would only be succesful if your looking for an unusual name ?
