I would be interested to know what other LA’s are paying their Appeals Officers, and what is involved in their job description.
I am a Disputes & Appeals Officer. I am the only one and my role is dealing with reconsiderations, appeals (submissions and presenting), fraud adjudications and attending court as witness in fraud cases. Part of my role includes referring cases to management/training officer where accuracy is an issue, training needs refreshing or practices could be changed. I don’t have any staff under me, however have a “little helper” who takes some of the more straightforward disputes off my hands, due to the workload involved.
