    Hb start date – Scenario – Pensioner claim with new liability. We recv an advanced claim for HB & CTB 10/07/06. Tenancy start date 17/07/06, clmnt does not move in until 25/07/06 (no valid reason for the delay). Am I correct to assume that we pay M/F date moved in as does not satisfy the week-one-yes rule? Many thanks

    I think you would pay from the Monday following 25 July – the 12-month “backdate” provision doesn’t help because they have not been in occupation of the property.
