If we are using the AIF in the HB/CTB assessment do we need to show a breakdown of how the AIF has been calculated on the HBCTB decision letter?

No. But any modifications to it do need to be included. You can find the exact requirements in the HB/CTB State Pension Credit Regulations (SI 2003/325) at Regulation 25(2) and 25(3). These are the things that amend the existing Schedule 6 in the HB/CTB regs.
