    Have there been any changes to the definition of a HIMO? The latest info I have is the CT law and practice guide for 2007 which is the same as usual but a customer is telling us that the definition has changed to say that the property has to be 3 floors high and have at least 5 occupants or 2 families in it.

    I can’t find anything to support this, can anyone help? 😕

    I think he’s referring to the definition used by Environmental Health when they look to licence HMO’s.

    Your own Environmental Health Dep should be able to let you know if they have a similar scheme
