Just wondered if anybody thinks it’s worth making a case for an IT software forum.

We are an Academy based site and at our management meeting yesterday there were a number of issues raised regrading software performance. When we contact Academy to address issues we rarely get an immediate response because they always intimate that the problem is probably site specific.

If we could have a forum to find out the views of other sites before making the call to a software company it would provide people with the opportunity to discuss a problem before making contact with them and, if it is a common problem, it would give LA’s more ammunition to fire at them when they try to fob us off (discussing problems through a forum may also negate the need to contact the software company if someone has already been given a solution that they are willing to share)

Webmaster and user comments would be appreciated on this suggestion.

There is an Academy users site but not much info on it as yet, it seems to need more members/input.

However a software information board via HBinfo could be useful as it already has the membership to support it.

    What a very good idea,

Funnily enough I was thinking of stating one myself but bcos there are so many users already here this may be the best place

    I am in full agreement
