Hi – I am doing some research into the reasons for claimants failing to provide supporting evidence and/or information when they first submit their claims. I hope to improve our procedures/ forms /interaction with claimants so that the current very high percentage of incomplete claims can be minimised along with the resulting delays in getting the claims processed. I am surveying claimants and other Scottish practitioners to gather information on this topic and I would be grateful if any practitioners from English or Welsh authorities would be prepared to answer a few questions on how they publicises evidence requirements ,receive and handle new (non CMS) claims.

If anyone is willing to participate could they email me at BainAM@angus.gov.uk and I will send details of the survey questions – I will be happy to give feedback on the outcomes of my research to participants in due course.
    Thanks
