Sorry to trouble you all (and this may seem like a basic question), however I have a couple of queries with regards to LAINPUT (CMS CLAIM FORM) from the Job Centre

(1) If the claimant/partner are not entitled to state benefits is this a valid claim?

(2) If the date verification is more than one month after the date of 1st contact, what date would the claim be from i.e. is it still from the date of 1st contact or not?

If anyone has any training notes, apart from the DWP documentation, they would be gratefully appreciated.

Even if not a valid claim, is it not an intention to claim in a form acceptable to the LA in any case. I’d accept it and invite the claimant to provide further details on a standard form from the authority if necessary.

Do I know what I'm doing? The jury's out on that........................
