    Hi
We have an agent who houses vulnerable people and would like payments to go direct to them rather than the tenants. The agent has only supplied a PO Box for their address details. Is there anything within regs and VF to state that we can accept this as a legitimate address and make the payments direct to the agent?

I don’t see why not. We have a RSL (it’s a womans refuge) who only give their address as a PO Box for security reasons and HB is paid.

This CD seems to say that HB can be paid even if the LL is not contactable.

    Agree with previous poster

the original vf [u:491643266f]insisted[/u:491643266f] on landlord full name/address even if they used an agent but I think (under pressure from landlord lobby groups?) this dropped on the ?2002? rewrite.

From a landlord’s point of view, the whole reason of using agents is to avoid contact with claimants, LA’s, social services etc etc

There is one (good) reason for requiring the address of a L/L. It may well be a factor in determining if any of Reg 9 applies. But, I’d agree this doesn’t (normally) extend to the situation set out in the original post to this thread.

    Regards
