Claimant is undertaking a modern apprenticeship with our council. She gets paid £306 monthly, plus £44 to bring her up to the minimum wage and she receives expenses for travelling. The £44 is classed as taxable. Is she considered as an employed earner with earnings disregard, in which case we would would not disregard expenses. It is the payment for national minimum wage that has confused things for me. What regs apply please. Thanks.
