We have just converted to iworld and cannot work out how to input a modified income .eg. where disregard for War Pension is 10.00, but our council disregards the whole amount.

    Can anyone help?

This is the formula we use

    War Pens – £10 = “X”

AIF – “X” = Modified AIF (PCMAIF on iWorld)

    Leave war pens open

    Hope this helps

Further to previous, leave all incomes open

    PCAIF – information only

    PCMAIF – information only

    Hi Lesley,
We’re on iworld too and we disregard the whole amount of wdp. We do it like this:

The AIF from the PS already has £10 disregarded, so if the WDP is £90 you need to disregard another £80 from the AIF and load it as a PCMAIF.

Then just load your savings credit as normal.

In addition to this SX3 have advised that the income(ie: state pension, any superanns, the WDP etc.) are loaded for ‘info only’ – there is a flag to check on the income screen. It seems this info may be needed for stats purposes.

You will need to load other claims like this if there are:
    *lone parent earnings (PCdisregard=£20)
    *Widowed parents/mothers allowance (PCdisregard=£10)
    *Maintenance payments(PCdisregard=nil)

basically you modify the aif where our disregard is more generous than the pension service.
    Hope this helps!!

Floyd, sorry I don’t agree that the PC is loaded as info only. It’s the other incomes that are info only.

If you are modifying the PCAIF, SX3 instructions are to enter
    – the PCAIF as ‘information only’
    – the retirement income as actual income (inc war pension)
    – the modified income as actual income (in the case of CTC/CB)
    – the PCMAIF as ‘information only’
This is so the claims are correctly reported on the statistical returns.
