    We have a claim where the claimant is waiting for a NINO for his new wife who is a Thai national.

    He has said that she has applied for a NINO but does anyone have an idea as to how long we should be giving the claimant to provide this info as it is out of their hands as to how long the process take? Someone here has mentioned 13 weeks but they can’t find any reference to it any where.

    That is the average time for an interview to be arranged in the London area

    I have no idea how long it takes to even be interviewed, but I would insist on evidence that the application has been made, or send a DCI1LA. When I was in West Sussex we used to get them back in a month or so, but then I’ve not been there for eighteen months, so……
