    Afternoon All,

Having a bad day and can’t remember if we include awards that were made in 06/07 and paid in 07/08 in cell 003. 😳

    Can anyone help please.

    Thanks,

    Beth

The way I read it, the use of the word “receiving” suggests that it is when the DHP is actually paid. This would fit in with form convention 3 which covers the amount paid.

[b:1c7a9f3f07]Cell 003 Guidance[/b:1c7a9f3f07]Enter the total number of DHP awards made in the 2007/08 financial year.
The number of awards in Cell 003 is the number of persons [b:1c7a9f3f07]receiving[/b:1c7a9f3f07] an award during the period and not the number of weeks for which an award is made. Where an award is made but subsequently stops and at a later date another award is made to the same person, this counts as two awards. Where an award is made for two consecutive periods during the year because the pre-set period of the first award has ended, that also counts as two awards. Where an award is revised following a change of circumstances, only one award is counted. Awards to the same person in respect of both HB and CTB count as two awards.

    3. Payments should be claimed in the year in which they are made. If a payment is for a period that spans two financial years, it should be claimed in the year in which it is made.
