    Hello,

does anyone know how to apply a one strike loss of benefit sanction on open revs . i have not come across one of these before but the hb guidence manual states that for a single person benefit can be reduced at 40% of personal allowance for a maximum of 28 days. is there a way to get the system to do this or would i have to do manual adjustment?

    thanks

Go through Benefits along tool bar, Claim administration, then apply sanction. You will need to enter claim number of case you wish to apply sanction too. It will bring up the sanction screens, click create, then complete fields, ie; one strike/two strike, tick seriously ill box/pregnant if applicable (this will reduce sanction to 20%). For dates you need to align it to next payment cycle following earliest start date as advised by FPA7, the end date should populate according to whether its a one or two strike (4 weeks or 13 weeks) It should be put through as unreported change. Hope this helps.

What happens when the sanction is more than the weekly HB entitlement? Do we still have to leave 50p in payment? Thanks
