Sorry if this query has already been posted, I have looked through the threads but I can’t find a similar case.

    The situation is this:

HB applications received from three customers who rent the same property (it’s a four bed house), two out of the three satisfy the criteria to have the two bedroom LHA rate because they all need an overnight carer. We are looking at the third customer to see if we can obtain relevant docs to show that he also needs overnight care (I’ve posted on a separate thread about that!)

The overnight carer for all three customers is the same person and the rent set is just below the two-bedroom LHA rate.

Now, the cynic in me is thinking that this just doesn’t sound right, it just seems too convenient that the rent just happens to be just below the LHA rate for our area but at the same time I don’t think there is any way that we can’t pay these claims because all three customers do (on the face of it) satisfy the relevant criteria.

Opinions would be gratefully received, I feel like I’m going round in circles at the moment! :~
