Payament from a Health Scheme – Income?

    A claimant has advised us that he has received a payment of £60 because he has been paying into a Health Scheme every month and this entitles him to £60 per night if he has to stay in hospital.

    His illness is such that he anticipates that he will have to stay in hospital for the occasional night.

    Should this income be taken into consideration and if so is it income or capital?
