I’m not sure which board I should post this on, so forgive me if it’s in the wrong place!

I’m having trouble locating anything useful, and I’d be grateful for a point in the right direction…

Mrs X was awarded PCSC on 02/11/09. This was backdated to 10/08/09. She was in receipt of CTB; upon receipt of the AIF notification, this was reassessed and an overpayment has been generated as the new figure has been applied back to August.

This has been queried, as we believe that the new figure should only come into play from November, and therefore CTB should only change from that date.

Are we right? I can’t find anything at the moment that tells me one way or the other (PC and CTB are not my strong points!).

    All clues gratefully received!

A new award of SC should take effect from Monday after receipt of notification from Pension Service (if HB will go down as it does in your situation) – see SPC reg 60 paras 6 & 5

Thanks for that, can I just confirm that this is the same when CTB goes down – Mrs X has no HB in payment, only CTB.

Sorry if I’m being spectacularly dense!

Yes – Reg 51(5) of the CTB (Persons who…) Regs says exactly the same thing.
