    Please can someone help.

We have a claim from a lady age 81.

She ticked a box on a Ctax mandate in 18 Nov 2011 to say she wanted to claim CTB.

    On  30/03/13  she claimed PCGC

    PCGC was awarded from 19/12/11

HCTB claim form recieved on 21/5/12 (this was issued to her on 16/5/12)

We have awarded HBCTB from 19/12/11.  Is this correct?

Could we award HB and/or CTB from when she registered her intention to claim.  She states she rang numerous times for an application form, but we have no record of this.  We are confused over the intention to claim rules for pesioners – has the take on period already been applied?

She returned her benefit form with a month of it being issued, so I would suggest that if you never sent her a claim form (or organised a visit, etc) following the request for a claim on the CTax mandate then you have to accept this as the date of contact and pay the claim from the Monday 21/11/11 (if she provides proof of income up to the GC start).
