    Can anyone offer some guidance on the following:

    Claimant is from AZERBAIJAN and arrived in the UK 13/12/08. His passport has been stamped by immigration “C-Visit No course to public funds 18/6/07. He was granted an extension from17/7/07 to 16/1/08 with the same limitations. (He is a non-professional)
    On the 3/3/08 he was issued with a Residence Permit with Indefinite Leave to remain – Settlement.

    His he entitled therefore to HB/CTB ?

    Also, once a person has “Indefinite Leave to remain” is the “rule of thumb” the same answer.

    Yes once a person has “Indefinite Leave to remain” they are entitled to HB/CTB subject to the rest of eligiblity rules.
