I have a claimant with a 2nd property in Greece. A10/2003 seems to only specify UK property. Does anyone know how we get a valuation for a property abroad?

I would normally ask the customer to obtain a valuation from local agents.

Alternatively, you can easily get an idea of the approx value on the internet. The prperty only has to be valued at about £18,000 before capital exceeds and if the customer disputes, you can easily put the ball back in their court to provide you with their valuation.

In my authority all my offers to make the trip to sundry southern European locations to give these properties the once-over myself have been strangely spurned……….

I am available to inspect properties in the South of France, the Bahamas and Australia during this year’s Test series.

My fee is reasonable but I might need to take some time over the inspection ….

    Peter,

You’ll need an assistant of course!

Do I know what I'm doing? The jury's out on that........................

Perhaps it would be best for Rachel herself to go, then she would be able to multi-task!
