Hi, sorry I know this has been covered before, but I am after quick answer 😀

Joint tenants -x 2, both male, not a couple, and both over age 25. Paying equal share of rent each in a 2 bed property.

Am I right in assuming that they are both entitled to the Shared room rate of LHA, + the £15 cap if applicable?

Guidance notes provided by Support Manager state that they would both be entitled to 1 bed rate which I disagree with!

    Thanks for your time.

You’re correct: Joint tenants = shared room rate.

However you can’t pay the £15 cap on top of the LHA rate, only up to the LHA rate (I’m sure you realise that!)
