Have I missed something ?

Is there an amending SI that restricts backdating to 3 months from October ?

I know this was subject to consultation with the SSAC and I haven’t heard anything since.

If there is no SI (I haven’t missed anything) then is there any prospect of it coming in for October. Parliament is in recess now until October.

I heard a rumour (never let the truth get in the way of a good rumour) that it had been delayed until April

I agree with Phil. I’ve also heard a rumour that it has been put in a drawer somewhere for later. And I haven’t seen or heard of any draft regs being circulated (I don’t always, but sometimes I get to see them). If it is going to happen then they’re leaving it late, not that it hasn’t happened before!

I think that in the current political and economic climate the Government is leaving this for a more friendly time.

Never sounds good…
