    Help

The Inland Revenue have advised me that there is a dedicated email service for local authorities however nobody in our authority seems to know anything about it! Can anybody steer me in the right direction? Tax credits couldn’t give me any info!!

    Thanks

I think you have to have set up a trusted e-mail link with the revenue before they’ll reply. Can pm the e-mail address of the person who set it up for us if required. (Today may not be the best day to talk to them about disclosing personal information tho!)

Hi – I’ve also been trying to establish the e-mail address for tax credits. I e-mailed the contact in G4/2006 but my e-mail was returned undelivered. David would you mind sending me an e-mail with the contact you have?

    llott@tendringdc.gov.uk

    thanks in advance.

I have just been told by a colleague that when she telephoned HMRC earlier today she was asked five “security questions” before they would give her any information, apparently because of the Child Benefit CD World Tour débâcle.

    (Barn .. door … horse … bolted … )

    Makes email a good option.

I am guessing the child benefit section no longer bothers asking any questions as you can get the information easier from the black market.
