I was listening to Radio 4 this morning, they were interviewing a Welsh Government representative about devolving more powers to Wales.

It was just a comment made in passing, but he did talk about 'The UK Government making people homeless and the Welsh Government having to pick up the costs'

There was also this comment from Wales On Line

    http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/welsh-politics/welsh-politics-news/2013/01/14/uk-government-s-benefit-changes-are-a-social-atrocity-minister-91466-32591459/

It's worth reading in full, because clearly someone is under no illusion as to what it means.

It sounds as though The Welsh Government is looking for new powers including taxation and the fall out from Welfare Reform may be one of the reasons for it.

A search also seems to suggest that there is a link between welfare reform & the Scottish Independence vote

    So, how about

Welfare Reform, pushing Scotland and Wales towards Independence

Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen and six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery. The blossom is blighted, the leaf is withered, the god of day goes down upon the dreary scene, and—and in short you are for ever floored.
