Salvation Army Hostel not a housing association

    I am querying whether any other LA has a SAH that does not have housing association status? We have discovered ours isn’t ( Grimsby) so now I have the dubious honour of deciding how to correctly pay these claims. I’m sure it’s exempt accommodation and some residents will be vulnerable but what about the rest who are just getting standard JSAIB? Then comes the dilemma of restricting or not ? Currently max. eligible is £191.19 this could reduce to £72.00 ! I am making further enquiries but I am interested if anyone else can offer advice? Thanks

    Hi,
    we had the same problem but the other way round. We had been referring to rent officer and over riding the rent for a number of years when it turns out it should have been a housing associtaion all along.
