    Hi
Apologies for appearing really thick here but we have suddenly confused ourselves as a result of some work done by agency staff.
If a single customer is in receipt of AA which shows on the ETD should we be inputting the AA as a separate item of income to award the SDP.
We have been awarding the SDP but our agency staff beg to differ and say that you should just input the AIF and the savings credit figure as the SDP has already been included as part of the PC calculation.
Hope someone can enlighten me as I can’t find a hard and fast answer.

    Thanks
    Debbie P
Have also posted on PC board but no one appears to be around

Don’t you have to input the AIF as modified otherwise how else would you know an SDP is due to claimant (unless you an SX3 site where you could put a personal status on the claim). AA is not included in the AIF (is it?) but would show as disregarded in any case.

Therefore I think you are right and your agency staff have got it wrong.

Do I know what I'm doing? The jury's out on that........................

Of course the SDP has been included as part of the savings credit calculation (its part of the PC applicable amount), but it must also be included as part of the HB/CTB calculation as well (its part of the HB/CTB applicable amount.)

If you do not include the SDP in the person’s applicable amount for HB/CTB, you are robbing them of money they are entitled to

Thanks for the replies. We knew we were correct but as we are constantly being accused of moaning about our outsource workers I thought I had better get a stong stick with which to beat them.

    Thanks again
