    Would you confirm to a RSL that a claim has been received by the LA ?
    Our data protection officer has questioned this practice even if an authority to discuss the claim has been received from the tenant.
    Anyone aware of any official documentation that says we can (or cannot) share information like this with RSL ?

    If you’ve got an authority to discuss from the claimant, then I can’t see how confirming to an RSL (or a private landlord for that matter) would breach data protection. You have an obligation not to disclose personal data except as allowed by legislation. If the data subject, ie the claimant, authorises disclosure of their data then you’re covered.
