Can anybody confirm whether HB/CTB should end when a partner vacates the property (i.e. is a new application required from the claimant).

We have been requesting a new application form in these circumstances since April 2004 but are beginning to question whether this is correct (as we cannot find a Reg to support this!!!!!).

If the partner moves out, it’s a change of circumstances and you don’t need an application. If the claimant moves out, and the remaining partner wants HB/CTB, they would need to make a new claim in their own right.
