Have been advised this morning by someone at DWP that “probably” do not need to fill in 124A this year for 06/07 as this information will be gathered from other sources.

Reason I asked was that only the 05/06 pdf was available on their website.

I’m sure that I read somewher that the 124a had been done away.

If you need one there is an 06/07 version on the HBDS Website

Sorry, I should have said it’s in MIS Guidance 2006/07……Current Forms 2006/07

On the Homepage of DWP knowledgenetwork there is a STOP PRESS which states not to send both 124A and 128.

Aha! I hadn’t seen that, thanks very much. I will though keep my forms until such time as we recieve the decision “through the normal publication channels”. I’ve been here before.

    Thanks again, well spotted.

Nice of them to tell us, eh! We had already sent off Stats 128 and it was only when I went on their web site to look for 124A form that I saw their message

The 124A generates some of your annual BVPI’s which we have to compile anyway for internal performance management purposes. Same thing for the 128 we use the results as part of our Benefits performance measures that are reported corporately. There are also a number of the elements of the 124A that are Performance Standards Performance Measures too. I think what this means is that we will continue to produce the Stats124A and 128 but not send them off to the DWP.

All the information on 124A and 128 is derived from 124 anyway so unless you need them specifically there is no point in producing them if DWP don’t want them

I received an email on 4th April saying we no longer had to send off Stats 124a or Stats 128 details. Not too keen on this following the problems with the Stats 121-122 discrepancies but at least saves me some work complying it all. 🙂

Nice to see some consistency. I’ve received a couple of letters reminding me that Stats 124 must be received by the required date or they won’t publish the results or send the Chief Exec his update.
