    Hello,

Could someone please confirm the statute barred regulations…

If a ctax account has an outstanding liability, say from 2000 – 2001 and a liability order was obtained in 2003 (with in six years) can the debt on the account still be persued by enforcement action, such as AoEs, AoBs etc?

Or because the debt is over six years old, regardless of when the liability order was granted can recovery of the debt now not be legally enforced.

    Thanks

I don’t think a liability order is ever time barred. The original debt has been enforced in court and that is the point of the Statute of Limitations – to stop [i:3515841ee3]court action [/i:3515841ee3]being taken after an unreasonable period of time.
