    Good morning,
in December, all of our existing Council properties are to be transferred to a Housing Association.
We normally make payments directly to Housing Associations (providing that we have a signed HB Direct Payment form) and we make the payments in arrears on a 4 weekly basis.

My question is – are there any rules / regulations that prevent us from making the first payments to the Housing Association on a “staggered” basis i.e. if there are 1000 properties, we pay 250 on week 1, 250 on week and so on.
All help and advice will be really appreciated,
    thanks,
    David

    Hi David

Q – Why would you want to do such a thing?

When we LSVT’d we just started all our old council houses onto a new schedule and started to pay them all 4 weeks in arrears (previously paid weekly). The new HA had plenty of warning what was about to happen so its not like they are not aware of the situation.
