We have a course that lasts for 6months (28weeks) the college describe it as fulltime.
It is a course that, once completed, allows the student to go on and train to be a teacher (PGCE). According the ctax regs it is not full time (does not last one academic year) but for benefits it is full time and so cant claim IS.
Would other LA’s grant an N exemption for this 6 month period?
If so would you then grant the N through the summer period and into the next academic year when they start their PGCE?
