We have a new pensioner claim received in June 2007 so possible to go back 52 weeks, as evidence of income has been supplied. However, customer had previously been awarded a take up when he claimed in 2005. The take up period was from May 2004 to May 2005. Then the case ceased from 22.6.06.
My question is: Can we award more than 1 take on period on the same case? There is nothing in the guidance to suggest that we cant.
    Many Thanks [/b]

Yes you can. We had this confirmed by the DWP April last year. 8)
Its not “take-up” any more – its any claim from a person 60+ – and you should always look to see if the claim can be paid from a period up to 12 months before the claim is received.
