quick question

i have tried contacting those lovely people at ir to find out tax credit helpline number.

they have advised us that they cant gtive number out as it is restricted

they have further advised us that the information should have been fed down through the “chain of command”???

however we have not been advised, have any other LAs received the details???

a letter has been sent to all hb managers from paul howarth giving the helpline number (sorry shouldn’t have given the number).

it also advises that this number should only be used to query award notices or proforma 1, information re proforma 2 will not be available until april 7. it also advises that only cases where a proforma 1 or an award notice is available can be queried

However, if you actually ring this number, you are likely to be told that the systems are down and the operators do not seem to have been prepared to take calls from local authorities. We have a number but it most cerainly isnt yet the answer to our problems..

going nowhere fast?
