    Hi. I have a claim where the customer has been claiming income based JSA. I have received her bank statements and they show that Working Tax Credits have been in payment for a while.

    I rang the Tax Credits help line and checked that she was still receiving them. They told me she was. Naturally I asked where she was working and have been told that this information is data protected and can not be released to us. Is anyone else have problems getting information?

    Well, at least I didn’t fail the security questions.

    I think para 7 of Sch 5 to the Tax Credits Act 2005 should allow the information to be provided.
