Hello I wonder if anyone can help

Claimant WHO IS recently deceased, was in receipt of war disablement pension

    Partner has now made claim

She has been advised by the veterans agency that she will receive
A TEMPORARY ALLOWANCE FOR WAR WIDOW’S/ WIDOWER’S – ( this is payable for 26 weeks)

Doe anyone know if this is to be treated as a “War widows pension”
or just as “widows pension” OR SOMETHING ELSE ALTOGETHER?

THEY PAY THIS WHILST THEY ARE MAKING THE DECISION AS TO WHETHER SHE IS ENTITLED TO WAR WIDOWS PENSIONS LONG TERM

Due to the fact that we have a local scheme disregard for war widows penisions, it wiil affect entitlement

    thanks

You would treat it as a normal war widows pension. An adjustment will be made in due course by the agency concerned.
