Claimant is in receipt of Guarantee Credit. He notifies us, but not the Pension Service, that he has started receiving an occupational pension. I ring the Pension Serrvice to see if they have this info – they don’t – so they will contact the clmt to get details etc and see if it affects his GC.
In the meantime do I :
a) suspend his claim until I hear about his Pension Credit entitlement and make the change from Monday after circumstances changed [b:c23aad2f9f]OR[/b:c23aad2f9f] Monday after notified, or…
b) leave claim running until I hear from P/Service and then make the change from Monday after circumstances changed [b:c23aad2f9f]OR[/b:c23aad2f9f] Monday after notified.
I have this idea that unless we hear from the Pension Service we don’t do anything, but when we do hear, we then make any changes depending on whether the change is due to clmt error or Pension Service error.
Any help gratefully received…..
