Gentleman was unable to move in to new home on tenancy start date of 04/07/12 due to 'care package' being needed. (He had a stroke in Jan 2012). This involved arranging for a carer 4 times a day and installing commode. We have advised that as this is not adaptations involving a change to the fabric or structure of the building, we cannot pay.

On looking closer at claim, he says he was in respite care / nursing home prior to actually moving in on 23/07/12.

Would anyone know if being in respite care would qualify under HB 7(8)(c)(iii)? Or if needing a carer to be sorted out prior to moving in would qualify?
