Hi,

Please can someone advise me on this.

If someone who is on passported benefit makes a claim should we still be asking for proof of ID to verify.

Technically the DWP should have checked this but I am of the opinion we still need to match the identity of the person submitting the claim.

Any feedback welcomed.

No Oliver, if they are in receipt of a passported benefit then you have to accept that the DWP has already verified their ID. However if you suspect their ID is fraudulent then you should notify the DWP.
