    I know that VF is ‘part of the job’ now – but does anyone still deliver annual VF refresher training to staff, RSLs and anyone who verifies documents?

    If not, do you just include VF as part of induction training for new staff?

    Comments would be appreciated.

    VF is dead and has been for a couple of years now!!

    It is really up to individual LAs how much verification they require, although the DWP did still supply some security guidance last time I looked.

    Here, we train Benefit Officers up to the verification levels we decided upon and then monitor compliance through checking. “Refresher” training is given to individual officers based upon their actual performance.

    Has anyone else noticed the ‘Security Guidance Manual’ appears to have quietly disappeared from the DWP website (unless I’ve missed something)?
