Can any of the more experienced amongst us offer any advice on the best way to amend legislation. I’m new at this.

I am looking, no surprises here, at the HB and CTB Regs 2006 (and their SPC equivalents) and the amendments which need to made as a consequence of SI217/2006 and SI588/2006. Working on a printed hard copy seems to be impractical. No room to enter the substituted text – or should I just be cross-referencing?

    What do others do? [/b]

I create web-based regulations based on the original SI. This allows me then to insert/amend with subsequent SIs and keep an archive of each version prior to the update. Our staff then all have access to an intranet which contains all these Regs

This takes a while to create but once done, it’s really easy to maintain and update. Unfortunately, the SI site only has the new Regs in pdf format, but I’ve been assured that they’re currently formatting into html – once this is done, I’ll be creating the new Reg pages

Edit: Just checked and they are now available in html format on the SI website

The new regs are available on this website!

(and we will be updating them shortly)

Many thanks – I’ll give it a go.
