I just need a matter clarified.

So under the new state pension rules a woman doesnt get her state pension from her 60th birthday any more but from a date a few months after. Does this mean she does not get the over 60 premium in the applicable amount until the date her state pension starts or does she still get this from age 60?

    Thanks

She would still be treated under the working age regulations until she reaches the state pension credit age

    Hi,

Continues to be assessed under working age rules until recceives pension or, more correctly, reaches the “qualifying age for state pension credit” which should be the same date.

See table in A16/2009 for the phased changes based on customer DoB. 😉

Ok thank you. So how does this work for men? Would they still get the over 60 premium from age 60 or do they miss this out all together?

    Hi,
For men, the SPC age is the same as women – the difference is that it doesn’t co-incide with state pension entitlement.
