The suggestion is the The Government want rid of social housing entirley and this is how they will do it

Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen and six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery. The blossom is blighted, the leaf is withered, the god of day goes down upon the dreary scene, and—and in short you are for ever floored.

The link to the article in the Telegraph about IDS saying that Labour are “scaremongering” about the bedroom tax is truly gobsmacking. He genuinely seems to believe that this won’t have the consequences that we know it will. There will be inevitable tragic consequences due to the bedroom tax and we are powerless to do anything when they are asking us on the phone and in interviews what they can do. These people are at the lowest ebb and are now being pushed over the edge. Quite heartbreaking in some instances.
