Serco works in a strategic partnership with Peterborough City Council in the heart of the city, to transform the quality of local services for our citizens. We currently have an opportunity to join our team as an Appeals & Revision Officer within our Benefits and Systems team.
As Appeals & Revision Officer you will administer and review Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit decisions and appeals in line with the Decision Making and Appeals legislation and other relevant legislation. You will investigate, review and settle complaints quickly whilst delivering a consistently high standard of accuracy and performance ensuring that legislation and statutory requirements are adhered to across the service.
What you will need
You will need a background in appeals with extensive knowledge of the housing benefit and council support applications.
You will also hold the ability to write detailed submissions and provide expert technical advice and support to the team.
