Our friendly and committed Benefits Service, is looking for a new member of the team. We pride ourselves on improving people’s lives by delivering support, advice and information to residents that require financial help through benefits.
Our teams are located at multiple council office-based locations in Bath, Keynsham & Midsomer Norton as well as working from home.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, performance driven and assertive team player who will enjoy delivering excellent customer service and wants to make a difference to the residents of Bath and North East Somerset.
This role will be for between 30 hours to 37 hours per week, working Monday-Friday.
As an ideal candidate you will be able to demonstrate that:-

- You need to be committed, patient, diplomatic, tactful and be able to negotiate on all levels to gain the best solution for both customer and client, internally and externally.
- Flexibility within the working environment and an ability to use initiative to solve both expected and unexpected problems.
- Demonstrate flexibility within the working environment by supporting service changes and assisting in the introduction of new ways of working.
- An excellent communicator, who works to high standards ensuring accuracy and excellent customer service with a professional and courteous manner.
- The ability to communicate with a diverse range of customers as equality is paramount.
- A team player, who enjoys working as part of a team, flexible and adaptable you need to display a ‘can do’ attitude, understand and support the need for continuous improvement.
- Excellent IT skills with the ability to use IT systems and interpret and input accurate data and information in accordance with GDPR and Information Governance.
- A minimum of GCSE level education including Maths and English
