We are looking for two experienced Housing and Council Tax Benefit Officers to assist in a busy borough.    We  have an  ambitious goal  –    to be the best   council  in the country.

Benefits  include flexi-time and hybrid working.   Successful  candidates  will have  the opportunity to continue working from home for part of the week after COVID restrictions are lifted.

Main duties of the job

You will be part of a team processing Housing and Council Tax Benefit claims, reporting to the team manager.   Skills essential for this post:-

–     Experience of NEC, I-World,  Enterprise, CIS,  VEP,  Outlook, Teams

–     Knowledge of current legislation relating to Housing and Council Tax Benefit

–     Experience in processing all types of Housing and Council Tax Benefit claims, including Appeals

–     Ability to follow procedures and maintain a high level of accuracy

–     Ability to manage own workload to meet set targets and work as part of a team

–     Effective written and verbal communications skills.
