Benefits Assessors x 2

Solihull Council

We are looking for 2 experienced Benefits Assessors with a passion for delivering high quality customer service and with a detailed knowledge of Benefit legislation to join our Benefits team.

Responsible for processing claims for Council Tax Reduction and Housing Benefit, you will experience a great sense of satisfaction as you help people to get the right benefits and support in what can be a difficult stage in their life. 

You will need GCSE’s Maths and English grades A*-C or 4-9 (or equivalent Level 2 qualifications) or will be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of numeracy and literacy skills. Great communication skills and accuracy and attention to detail are also essential.

Working closely with other teams within Income and Awards, you will be able to develop your knowledge and expertise in a broad range of processes.

The teams official base in in our central Solihull offices, however we are currently working on a hybrid basis, which may include a combination of office and home based working. The specifics of this can be discussed with the successful candidate and as such, we can be flexible regarding geographical location.
