Applications are invited from highly motivated and enthusiastic persons for the above vacancy within the Benefits Service.

The Benefits Service is responsible for the administration of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction, which provide assistance to low-income households in meeting their liabilities, and for processing claims for Free School Meals. The successful candidate must be computer literate and bring to the job an understanding of the needs of the service users. You must have excellent customer care, numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to adapt to a variety of work situations within a demanding environment. A good working knowledge of Microsoft products will be an essential requirement of the post. In addition, you must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above

Salary range / grade: Salary: NJC Grade E £22,571.00 - £24,920.00 per annum

Hours: 37 Hours/week,
