Are you an ambitious benefits professional looking for a new challenge? For the right person, this is an exciting opportunity to join a small and dynamic in house team, where you will get involved in all aspects of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support assessments including new claims, DHPs and appeals.
The successful candidate will have sound knowledge and proven experience of having assessed Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims within the last 12 months, along with a strong understanding of the evolving landscape of Housing Benefit with regard to welfare reform, Universal Credit and supported and temporary accommodation.
You will have extensive experience of using benefits software, preferably Academy systems, as well as experience of using a document management system.
This is a challenging and rewarding role for a highly motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a dedicated team and takes pride in delivering first class service.
You will benefit from 24 days annual leave (rising to 29 after 5 years’ service), subsidised gym membership and car parking, payment of professional fees, entitlement to join the local government pension scheme, and non-contributory life assurance.
We are investing in our future, increasing strategic capacity and exploring new ways of working.
