We are looking to recruit two hardworking individuals to work as part of a team assessing Local Council Tax Support and Housing Benefit claims. Your duties will involve the maintenance and processing of Housing Benefit and Local Council Tax Support claims, dealing with correspondence and dealing with the public by email, on the phone and at the Customer services’ enquiry counter.

You must have good communication skills and computer skills along with the ability to work under pressure. Working to strict deadlines, achieving targets and with minimum supervision. Ideally you would have an up-to-date knowledge of Housing Benefit legislation and North Warwickshire Borough Council’s Local Council Tax Support Scheme.

Appointment to this post will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed.  A Basic check will be required. This will contain details of convictions and conditional cautions considered to be ‘unspent’ under the terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Salary range / grade: £22,571 - £24,920 per annum

Hours: permanent - 37 hrs PW
